DC will be in lockdown…

» by Justin in: My Life

From the national weather service:

“LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW WILL CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW DURING THE LATE MORNING. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN INTENSITY THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS…WITH GENERALLY 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW EXPECTED BY LATE AFTERNOON. THE SNOW WILL INTENSIFY THIS EVENING…BECOMING HEAVY AT TIMES. BEFORE SNOW ENDS EARLY SUNDAY MORNING…TOTAL SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BE 8 TO 14 INCHES.”

This should be interesting…

    Dear East Coast:

Suck it up. When this sort of stuff hits Minnesota, you don’t hear us whine. We shovel our way out and go on with our lives. Three days later, when the same storm hits the East Coast, it invades the news and it’s all we frickin’ hear about. Why was it non-news worthy in the Midwest but suddenly a “stop press” event when it hits the Atlantic? I’ll tell you why. We’re stouthearted folks, us Midwesterners, and we ain’t afraid of a foot of snow, of two feet of snow, or even Sasquatch.

    Thank you.

(And if THIS post didn’t buy me a first class ticket to Hell, I don’t know what will.)

Yes. Please send sun. It’s cold and turgid and this snow beast wants spring NOW. I asked Justin to bring sun back from Miami and send it my way. Did he? No. No, he did not. What kind of rude son did you raise?

Hey. How did I get in this handbasket and why is it getting warmer?

This weekend should make you wish you stayed another week in the sunny state of FLorida :)

    AMEN, Emohawk!

When they start shoveling through multiple feet of snow, then maybe I’ll have a little pitty on them. :P

Hey! I’m from New England and I went to school in upstate NY!! Trust me when I say - I know SNOW.

I was surprised DC didn’t react as badly as everyone said they would. The roads were clear and I didn’t hear of any bad accidents. Then again it was like 40 the next day hahaha.

One thing that was great about the snow storm was the lightning we saw at about 12:30am. Snow and lightning - amazing!!
