Today was my last day in Boston and will be my first day (well, night) in Provincetown, MA on Cape Cod.
I truly do love Boston - it’s an amazing city - but I am really looking forward to moving on with my trip. I’ve got a bunch of great stuff lined up in the next few states so there is much to look forward to.
Granted, I have been to MA, NH, and ME so it’s not like I am covering new territory for myself, but it is still exciting to visit places one after the other. And I haven’t been much during off seasons so that is something new to look forward to.
And I haven’t really been in Vermont before so that is new ground for me in New England!
As for this day I went around Boston for a bit during the morning before my first interview (with the President of Suffolk University’s Rainbow Alliance group). I got a few good pics - the statehouse and the commons - which I plan to photomerge into one continuous pic to see how it comes out.
I also bought a Boston Red Sox t-shirt. Well, technically it was a FENWAY t-shirt. haha I thought since I will be going south in a few weeks having a big sign on my chest that said “YANKEE” (funny how RED SOX can translate to NORTHERN YANKEE in some places!) would be like wearing a targe…LOL
At noon I headed up the hill and interviewed John D’Agosta. He is a very interesting guy - I think you will like the interview. I couldn’t believe we talked for as long as we did! More on that when I post his videos.
After the interview with John I raced back to James’ place and he helped me pack up my Jeep - we had a light lunch - and I zoomed over to State Senator Jarrett Barios’ law office in downtown Boston. His staff had changed the location of the meeting so I was a few minutes late - yikes! ![]()
The Senator was a very intense and very focused guy. He got about 10 things done while doing the interview with me! No wonder he’s an effective legislator! haha His interview will be a can’t miss. This is a man who has significant power in Massachusetts and who is running for an even more significant office. Again, more on this when I put his videos up.
After these interviews I breathed a large sigh of relief, jumped into my Jeep, and drove into the sunset. No, I am not making this up the sun was setting dammit!
On my way to PTown! WOOT WOOT!
