This week…

» by Justin in: My Life

…has been rough!

My memere was moved from the emergency room to a hospital room and is now in a nursing home.

Parkinsons is rough because when you get stressed or nervous the symptoms tend to increase. So with all the shuffling around my memere looked worse than I had seen her in ages. But I know once she gets settled she will get a little better.

Well, before she starts getting worse. It’s so sad - it’s hard to watch.

I still can’t believe how my mom has handled her care for so long. But it’s another testament to the fact that my mom is amazing. We are all lucky to have her.

As for the trip - I’m getting back on schedule!! I had two interviews in Connecticut yesterday - with a Yale University LGBT group and a board member from the CT Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Since I am just getting through editing of the Maine videos it will be a few weeks…haha!

I’m doing massive amounts of editing today and preparing for the next few weeks (laundry, packing, etc, etc). I’ll be heading to NYC on Monday and then to NJ the following Monday.

I’m really excited for the next few weeks - should be great! I’m staying with old college friend and should have some great interviews while in town! I’m working out all those details now… :)
Any NYC or NJ peeps out there have any ideas - let’s hear them!!

OK - back to editing. Happy April Fools Day!

Justin, check out my blog (From Though to Action - Part I) - has to do with GLBTQ homeless in NYC. A video on that and maybe some interviews with GLBTQ homeless might be awesome (but be careful). Kevin

Thanks, Justin. See the link. You may want to interview this guy from the Ali Forney Center in New York (they help homeless gays in NYC).
