To begin with, who the hell defines relevance in terms of their blog? You would have to have a huge ego (read small dick) or major self esteem issues to even think in those terms.
Secondly, while I appreciate someone out there is “missing” my updates - yes, it’s been a while - I love how they couldn’t just email me to ask what’s up. Which implies it’s someone who I don’t have a good relationship with. And that narrows it down a bit.
Finally, as far as not updating in a while - I’ve had a lot going on lately. I spend my whole day online communicating with bloggers, reading, getting people the info they need to help further the progressive cause, writing, and basically trying my hardest to make sure that we move away from this horrible political climate we live in today and move towards a more free and open (read progressive) political climate. It’s been very stressful as of late, so I’ve been putting extra time into it. When I have spare time, I like to relax, read actual books instead of a computer screen, and enjoy the company of my real life friends. While I love blogging, I haven’t had the motivation to write in the past few weeks and I refuse to start forcing myself to write when I don’t feel like it.
Whoever you are (and trust me, I have a pretty good idea of exactly who you are) you can plan to see more updates on my life soon. You can rest assured. I will try my oh-so-hardest to claw my way back into “relevance”.
Relevance. It makes me laugh every time I read or write it. In DC you are more relevant if you are attractive than if you write a blog. After all, politics is Hollywood for ugly people. Then again you disprove that saying - you don’t work in politics and you sure ain’t pretty.
